Friends work together to improve gym

VIKINGS star Paul Noone has teamed up with best mate Neil Allday to relaunch a long-standing Widnes gym.

Noone and Allday, himself a former rugby league professional, injected a five-figure sum into the major refurbishment of Classic World of Fitness in Everite Road.

Allday said: “Paul and I have known each other for years and we wanted to improve on what we already had at the gym, so we have both put a substantial sum of cash into the project.

“The kit we have in it now is the best on the market and we think we have the number one gym in Widnes.”

New machines, a power suite, sun beds, a new reception area, games room and renovated changing rooms are among the developments the duo have initiated in the past three months.

Noone added: “The gym is completely unrecognisable to what it used to be.

“There has been no expense spared here and already we are seeing the benefits as people are talking advantage of our open days and are signing up.

“We want to get our membership into the 1,000s and with the work we have done, we think it’s achievable.”

Noone and Allday have also created a relaxation area upstairs where members can ‘chill out’ and refuel over a game of pool or by watching TV.
